Registering my business and starting up

Registering with the single window calls for three decisions taken beforehand — the legal form, the address, the tax regime — then the formality itself and the documents nobody drafts for you: the declaration of no criminal conviction, the beneficial owners for a company, and the Kbis extract that proves the business once it exists. Start-up support, ACRE and ARCE, is costed at the same moment — and ACRE must be APPLIED for, it is not automatic. 10 steps, from the legal form to the application for support.

    Since 2023 there are no more formality centres: creation, amendment and cessation must all go through a single online window. What the creation filing covers, who may file on your behalf and under what written authority, and which entities are excluded.

    Acre application — the start-up exemption, and its 60 days

    It is not automatic, and the clock runs from the date on the business creation certificate. A 25 % exemption for a micro-entrepreneur, 12 months for other founders — and 30 days of silence from Urssaf means consent.
