Sources and assumptions

Excerpt from the source : « Cette indemnité est égale à 10 % de la rémunération totale brute versée au salarié. »
  • legifrance.gouv.fr — LEGIARTI000006901220 — tax year 2026, verified on September 3, 2026
Excerpt from the source : « En vue d'améliorer la formation professionnelle des salariés titulaires de contrat de travail à durée déterminée, une convention ou un accord collectif de branche étendu ou une convention ou un accord d'entreprise ou d'établissement peut également prévoir de limiter le montant de l'indemnité de fin de contrat à hauteur de 6 %, dès lors que des contreparties sont offertes à ces salariés, notamment sous la forme d'un accès privilégié à la formation professionnelle. »

Calculation assumptions

  • The calculation gives the STATUTORY allowance of the French Labour Code. A collective agreement, a company agreement or the employment contract may set a more favourable rate: it is not computed here.
  • The base is the total gross pay received during the fixed-term contract, renewals included, entered as is: the engine does not rebuild its components (base salary, bonuses, overtime) — refer to the payslips of the contract.
  • Not modelled: subsidised contracts and contracts with a commitment to provide further training (also excluded from the allowance), termination for force majeure, the end-of-assignment allowance of temporary agency workers, and the compensatory allowance for untaken paid leave, which is computed separately.
  • The allowance is paid as a salary supplement: it is treated like gross salary (social contributions and income tax). The amount shown is gross; the net is not computed.
