Reading a French payslip
The anatomy of a payslip, the gross-to-net calculation rebuilt line by line, then how to check it and get it corrected: three worked modules following Léa on 2 600 € gross. Pilot course for the four-window structure. All the prose is free to read; the case studies and quizzes are sold.

Figures are tied to dated, sourced tax constants. A module whose rules have changed is flagged for review, and is unpublished automatically beyond 90 days.

By the end of this course, you can…
These outcomes are the modules' own: the promise cannot say anything the course does not teach.
- Identify what a payslip must state by law, and the one thing it may never mention.
- Read contributions grouped by the risk they cover, rather than the old list of scheme names.
- Separate net paid, taxable net and the social net amount, and know which body each addresses.
- Recognise what is on the sheet without being pay: expense reimbursements, benefits in kind, deductions.
- Apply each rate to its own base, which is almost never the whole gross figure.
- Place a salary against the social security ceiling and derive its bands.
- Rebuild taxable net from net paid, rather than starting again from gross.
- Handle overtime and variable items under the regime that is specific to them.
- Check a payslip in six steps, ordered so that the earliest ones save the most time.
- Tell an ordinary correction apart from a genuine disagreement about the law.
- Know the limitation periods, which differ according to what is being claimed.
- Write a claim that works, and know where to turn if it goes unanswered.
