Mrs Bertin's position at 63 years and 3 months
Born in 1966, she reaches the statutory age of 63 years and 3 months. The period required for her cohort is 172 quarters; she has validated 164. She is therefore 8 quarters short, that is two years of contribution. She can retire at once, but on a reduced pension, or wait for the full rate.
