Worked example
The Marchand couple's maximum monthly payment
Net income of 4 800 € a month. Debt burden capped at 35 %: total borrowing charges cannot exceed 4 800 × 35 % = 1 680 €. That figure covers the loan payment AND the borrower's insurance, as well as any loan already running. Aiming at 1 900 €, as they intended, places the file outside the ordinary corridor.
