German workplace safety: risk assessment, company doctor
The German Occupational Safety and Health Act applies from the first employee, and a documented risk assessment has no small-business exemption. The first module covers the basic duties, the eight principles, the six sources of hazard including psychological strain, and instruction before work starts. The second deals with first aid and emergencies, appointing a company doctor and an occupational safety specialist, the committee above 20 employees, occupational health checks and fines of up to 30,000 euros.
