German levy for unfilled disability quota places — quota and monthly amounts

From 20 jobs, 5 percent must be held by severely disabled people — one place below 40 jobs, two below 60. Each unfilled compulsory place costs EUR 155, 275, 405 or 815 a month, depending on the employment rate actually reached.

Sources and assumptions

Calculation assumptions

  • The number of jobs is assumed to be the same in every month of the year. The return under SGB IX s. 163 counts month by month, so a fluctuating workforce will give a different figure.
  • Jobs and severely disabled employees are entered already counted: trainee posts excluded (s. 157(1)), posts listed in s. 156(2) and (3) excluded, multiple crediting under s. 159 included.
  • The amounts are those of the notice of 2 December 2024, in force since 1 January 2025; the figures printed in the statute have been superseded by the uprating under s. 160(3).
  • Private employers only. The grouping of public bodies (s. 160(8)) and late-payment surcharges (s. 160(4)) are not calculated.
