German care allowance (Pflegegeld) — including the combined benefit
The care allowance is EUR 347 a month for care grade 2, EUR 599 for grade 3, EUR 800 for grade 4 and EUR 990 for grade 5. If you also use in-kind care, the allowance is cut by the percentage of the in-kind ceiling you have used.

Calculation assumptions
- Entitlement covers the full calendar month; for part months the amount is reduced day by day on a 30-day month (SGB XI s. 37(2)).
- Short-term and respite care, the relief amount (s. 45b) and the conversion under s. 45a are not taken into account.
- The share of in-kind care used is applied exactly; only the amount paid is rounded to the cent. The care fund may round the percentage first.
