Sources and assumptions

Calculation assumptions

  • A certificate from the heritage authority or municipality exists and confirms the costs entered as qualifying.
  • The statute allows 'up to' 9% and 7%; the maximum amounts are shown.
  • The building is used to earn income. For your own home, s. 10f applies instead and is not computed here.
  • Only the cost of the qualifying works: the purchase price of the existing structure is depreciated ordinarily under s. 7(4).
