Worked example
Elena files everything at once
Suppose Elena's workshop also requires a SCIA. Rather than going through the SUAP portal first and the register afterwards, her adviser prepares a single filing containing both the ComUnica and the SCIA. Elena signs it digitally, the adviser adds a signature as intermediary and sends it from Telemaco on a Tuesday morning.
Practical case
Marco starts a cleaning business
Marco is starting a cleaning business as a sole trader. He has a personal PEC mailbox and a digital signature, but plans to let his adviser sign everything under a paper proxy. The adviser sends the ComUnica on Friday 13 March 2026 at 8.15 pm. Marco would like to declare Thursday 12 March, the day of his first job, as his start date. What is wrong, and what protocol date will the filing receive?
Hint: Check three things: who must sign a filing today, what happens to a filing sent after 7 pm, and whether the start date may precede submission.
Show the solution
First, most chambers no longer accept the paper proxy: Marco must sign with his own digital signature, and the adviser adds a signature as intermediary. Second, the PEC to register must belong to the business. Third, sent after 7 pm on a Friday, the filing is numbered on the first working day afterwards, Monday 16 March 2026. Finally, the start date cannot be earlier than submission, so 12 March is not acceptable.
Answer: Protocol on Monday 16 March 2026; Marco signs digitally; no start date before submission
