A twenty-eight hour part-time post
A post of twenty-eight weekly hours is paid at the minimum hourly rate of €12.31, that is four fifths of the statutory 35 hours. The computation starts from the contractual hours, never from a full-time monthly figure divided and then rounded. The applicable collective agreement may impose a higher rate for the grade of the post.
