Salary declared: 42 000 €. The standard allowance comes to 4 200 €, between the floor of 509 € and the ceiling of 14 555 €. For the election to pay, his evidenced expenses must exceed that amount. At 3 900 € of actual expenses he would lose 300 € of deduction; at 7 603 € he gains 3 403 €.
