Calculation assumptions
- The calculation assumes entitlement is open: the affiliation period, minimum working hours or minimum contributions required by the CPAM are not checked here.
- The salary entered is the average of the last 3 gross salaries before the leave, after bringing EACH one down to the monthly Social Security ceiling if it exceeds it: with €6,000, €1,000 and €1,000, enter (4,005 + 1,000 + 1,000) ÷ 3 = €2,001.67, not €2,666.67. The engine only sees the average and cannot cap a single month. The 12-month basis for seasonal or discontinuous work is not modelled.
- Only the statutory duration is computed: postponing part of the prenatal leave after the birth, additional weeks for a pathological condition or the child's hospitalisation, and longer contractual leave are not counted.
- The calculation applies to an employee under the general scheme. Self-employed workers, farmers and civil servants follow other compensation rules.
